Walk to the birthing spot of Stonehenge Rocks
Everyone would agree that Stonehenge is interesting. Far more awesome than the structure itself is the spot where the rocks were birthed in the Preseli Mountain range — 240 miles from the tourist trap in Somerset. The walk is absolutely stunning, moderately challenging, and spiritually awesome. It is simply amazing to contemplate moving bluestone rocks from this blustery and steep place. This ramble is a nice day out from Ffynnon Oer. From the cottage it is an easy 50 minute drive to parking at the base of the mountain. We recommend stopping at the Old Post Office, Rosebush Cafe/pub for a meal at the end of the day. Very friendly, warm, and, on a Sunday night, exactly Melise’s kind of place — see the sign below for a clue.

Me, contemplating the mystery of moving blue stones 240 miles to the plains of somerset. Aliens seem more likely explanation!
